Useful Information
LOCATION
Our programs will be held in the meeting room of the Lake Hope Park Lodge building. The Thursday evening picnic will take place at the covered lakeside pavilion, on the beach side.
MEALS
Throughout the week, everyone will be responsible for their own meals, which is made easy by the fully equipped kitchen in each cabin.
In addition, the park’s restaurant is available, offering a delicious selection of food for its guests.
It is not uncommon for participants to dine together at the picnic tables between the cabins, where everyone contributes their own dishes in a potluck-style meal.
The nearest grocery stores are located in the nearby villages of Nelsonville and McArthur.
EVENING GATHERINGS
After the evening programs, informal and spontaneous gatherings often add to the camp’s atmosphere.
These usually take place around a campfire and sometimes include palacsinta or lángos, thanks to the efforts of a few enthusiastic volunteers.
THURSDAY EVENING PICNIC
We’ll spend Thursday evening together at a lakeside picnic where we will unwind with songs and a fun talent show, following dinner. The bogrács-gulyás, along with ingredients for skewered roasting over the campfire, including delicious Hungarian sausage and bacon, fresh bread, and vegetables, will be provided by MBK.
